Workstation hardening

Workstation hardening is the process of securing a system with security baselines. 

The aim is to reduce the attack surface as much as possible, while preserving the functionality of the application or workstation.

This process involves uninstalling all unnecessary programs (software, software libraries, tools, etc.) and eliminating non-essential users and rights. It also involves applying security configurations, updating and patching systems, disabling unnecessary services and implementing strict security policies.

Microsoft Secure Score is an assessment tool that helps you measure and improve the security of your IT environment, particularly when using Microsoft services such as Office 365, Microsoft 365 or Azure. It assigns a numerical score to your organization, based on current security configuration and recommended practices.

The Secure Score is like an indicator of your organization's security health. A high score means you're following security best practices, while a low score may indicate gaps in your security posture.
