Azure Information Protection (AIP)

Azure Information Protection (AIP) is a cloud-based service offered by Microsoft that helps organizations classify, label and protect their documents and e-mails according to data sensitivity.

AIP uses labels to classify and protect sensitive data, ensuring that information can only be accessed by authorized users.

Users can directly select the appropriate classification level for an e-mail or document with a single click.

These labels can be personalized, for example: Internal, Manager, CFO, External, Personnel. This makes the document inaccessible to anyone who doesn't have access to read this type of label.

The user can change the classification level and may have to justify this change.
